Contemporary Worship Service
– 11:00 a.m.
Contemporary worship at St. Mark's builds on an already rich history of worshiping God. Although hung on the framework of an ancient liturgical form – Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending – this service has a relaxed, informal feel.
Music: led by a worship band of singers and instrumentalists (keyboard, guitar, percussion).
Prayer: quiet and bold, individually or as a group.
Sharing Peace: exchanging a smile, handshake or hug while proclaiming the peace we receive through Christ.
Scripture: experiencing God's Word with our eyes, ears, voices, hearts and minds
Children's and Pastor's Messages: the good news of God's love delivered as sermons, dramas, or puppet shows
Holy Communion: offered every Sunday as God's gift of love in Christ's body (bread) and blood (wine or grape juice) to all Christians who attend.
We’re happy to put your special gifts to use. Opportunities always exist for those who feel led to participate: song leaders, instrumentalists, actors, ushering, sound crew, greeters, and more.
A nursery is available during all services for families with young children.
