Contemporary Worship

Contemporary Worship Services
11:00am, fall to spring; 11:00am (new time) in summer.

The Contemporary Service at St. Mark's builds on an already rich history of worshiping God. It begins with praise songs led by our Praise Team, which consists of song leaders and uses modern instruments, such as guitars, drums, percussion. The service continues with lay led prayers, a confession and absolution, more praise songs. The Word of God is proclaimed as lay led lessons, a message from our pastor, sometimes with drama. The setting for worship is informal and relaxed. Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. This gift of God's love in Christ's body (bread) and blood (wine or grape juice) is offered to all Christians who attend.

Everyone is invited to both worship with us and to become involved with helping in the service as a song leaders, instrumentalists, with drama, ushering, set up and sound crew, greeters and more. Come and help praise the Lord with the gifts given to you!

Our nursery is available during all services for families with young children.
